Where are we going?

Depression is around the corner and as our economic crisis gains speed, many will wonder how things got this bad, meanwhile others want to take action, but are not sure how.

OK, we allow execs to DOWNsize and OUTsource america. Well, now that empty factory has no workers in it. Those rust belt cities are now hollow, the manufacturing base is gone, having no money the city allows its infrastructure to fall apart, but wait there is more. The government raises taxes on the few remaining industries forcing them to go offshore as well.

Finally, corporate headquarters are being relocated because it is more cost effective. The result is more people without jobs and a horrible trade deficit.

This export of high tech high paying positions to low wage third world labor markets, is called globalism. I warn you now, if allowed to continue will destroy us.

Let me explain, in the 1969's when our america was booming the sales tax in Indiana was 2% and property tax for a two bedroom house was $100 per year. Fast forward to 2009 the sales tax is 7% and property tax is 2000, yes 20X as much. I can assure you that salaries are not twenty times as much. Back in the 60's the midwest had a lot of industry, but those factories were shut down and sent to low wage venues. Little is left, the GM Hummer factory in South Bend, IN will close this year.

What future can you expect, if you have no industry? I predict a very dim one.
