Corn Ethanol?

Today about 20% of US corn is used to produce ethanol for fuel. By 2012 it is estimated that 50% of the corn crop will be used for ethanol. This will cause food prices to increase because farmers feed corn to cows for milk and chicken for eggs and hogs for bacon. Also as more acres are planted in corn, less are planted in soybeans and wheat.

We are using ethanol as a substitute for gasoline. This will cause more and more cropland to be planted in corn. Because of the increase in corn prices it will be planted year after year. Before farmers rotated crops in this sequence - wheat, corn, soy.

Expect the price at the pump to affect the grocery store. Bulk items such as food now cost more to transport. The high price of oil causes ethanol to become more attractive, so sugar is converted to ethanol increasing world sugar prices.

Human Neandrathal Hybrids

Here is evidence that some science is strange. Human Neandrathal hybrid skull has been found.

This means that there was interbreeding between these two species. Perhaps we are all part Neandrathal?

The future that wasn't

MSN has a series on futuristic inventions that literally never took off. One was the aerocar. Yes folks, a flying car. It was very expensive and hard to fly. Still, we can dream, can't we?

The flying car is one dream that we have had for quite some time. I often wonder when I am in a traffic jam how other motorists would feel if I pushed a button and floated above the other cars and flew off into the sunset.

Time Warp

Baghdad city in a time warp is an article in Newsweek. We are seeing the city go back to a more primitive time. We are seeing the city fall apart as the war drags on. All this time the people have been forced to live without running water and electricity.

Makes you wonder what we are doing there, don't it? Are we really trying to liberate the Iraqi people or is that an excuse?

Market Meltdown

On Tuesday, shares of bankrupt American Home Mortgage Investment closed at 22 cents a share. Let me see, in jan of this year it was selling for $34. Now a few months later it is less than a penny on the dollar. And what do debunkers say?

"Oh, that was obvious, you didn't predict anything." Really, and why did you keep your money in that stock and lose over 99% of your value?

I warned people about what was to come. They reacted by laughing at me. Well, now they are angry. They should be angry at their own self.

WAKE UP debunkers, the market is crashing.
