Back in the 80's a stock broker complained of being in front of a tube all day and not going out to smell the fresh air. A banker had the same complaint about the job being all about numbers and sitting in front of a computer rather than helping consumers.
TV addicts are not a new phenomenon, but we now have internet addicts that use the web much like their counterparts did decades ago. They sit all day looking at web pages. Also, these individuals enjoy seeing many internet movies.
Internet addicts are more likely to suffer from depression in this recession. Sadly, many are unemployed due to oursourcing. This means that many cannot find work in their profession and must apply for fast food jobs with low wages.
