How to build a great car for only $2500

Well, Ratan Tata of Tata Motors figured this out. He did not add any luxury to this bare bones car that is the cheapest car in the world. The tiny Tata Nano get 50mpg and seats five. It is a true dream to drive. Unlike most big cars it is quick and responsive. The small lightweight Tata Nano gets people to their destinations.

Actually the automotive giants of the US like GM & Ford could learn from Tata Motors. Perhasp we will soon see a small affordable car in the US soon.

Dowloaders win

The verdict in EU court is that downloaders can stay private.

This is great news for the people as record companies were snooping on users of p2p networks. They claim were infringing on their property. It reminds me of how record companies wanted tape recorders baned to keep people from recording music off the radio. Times change, but execs do not -always greedy and nasty.

We need to have laws to protect the people, not the rich.

crime now

Due the high cost of living, both the husband and the wife get jobs outside their homes. At one time men worked and women stayed home, but now most houses are empty because both the man and woman have a job that requires them to be gone for many hours. As a result of this most crooks know that houses are easy prey after 9AM.

So crooks only need to cruise the neighborhood in the morning and look for houses were both cars are gone. You can often see them in their old rusty pickup trucks slowly casing an upscale neighborhood. They will ask me, "Do you know "where John Miller lives?" as if I were foolish enough to believe that they have friends in this pretty place.

Old & New

I have been told that the future combines the old and new to create a unique expression called retrofuturism. Not sure what it looks like, but perhaps this is close.

Ever wonder what objects the kids will play with in the future? Future Toys may include robots with artificial intelligence. Think of high tech dolls that can interact with people on a one to one basis. The future is getting closer every day.

Future Pay Phones

Before the cellular telephone became so popular many people used beepers and they relied on a network of public pay phones. As the price of cell phones came down and they transformed into small pocket sized communicators from the "big brick" of the 1980's the sales took off.

Now the are few coin operater public telephones. But what is the future of public pay phones?

Well, we see a new time where the red box is once again popular. When people do not have to carry a small cell phone with them. The future is not like now. It is a both exciting and enthralling. The future of public telephone as well as public transportation looks bright.
